Itinerary:

Bucharest – Targoviste – Campulung – Fundata – Brasov – Viscri – Sighisoara – Rimetea – Tecsesti – Cluj Napoca – Baia Mare – Barsana – Sapanta – Ciocanesti – Gura Humorului – Suceava – Piatra Neamt – Siriu – Bucharest

Day 1: Bucharest – Targoviste – Campulung Muscel – Rucar – Fundata – Brasov – Viscri

Welcome to Romania! Our guide will pick you up from the Henri Coanda Bucharest Airport and you`ll start your Romanian rural adventure. First stop: Fundata village, cosy nestled at the foothills of Piatra Craiului and Bucegi Moutains. Next stop: the well preserved Saxon village of Viscri (its old fortified church is listed as a UNESCO Heritage site). Accommodation in a traditional house in Viscri.

Day 2: Viscri – Sighisoara – Medias – Blaj – Rimetea

After a delicious, based on local products only breakfast our tour will continue with a visit to Sighisoara, the only still inhabited medieval citadel in Europe listed as a UNESCO Heritage site as well. The locals in the village of Rimetea will welcome us for a lovely traditional dinner and  accommodation for the night. Why Rimetea? Because it unique traditional architecture, white houses with green windows. 

Day 3: Rimetea – Tecsesti – Cluj Napoca – Baia Mare – Breb

Start the day with a traditional breakfast and a matching window view. Next stop: Tecsesti, the village hosting the only living museum in Romania, which brings to life the local civilization from Neolithic times on. Interesting enough, there are only 14 permanent inhabitants. The day will end in one of the most special rural regions of Romania – Maramures. Accommodation in a traditional house in Breb or similar.

Day 4: Breb – Sapanta – Barsana – Ciocanesti

After breakfast, the rural adventure continues with visits to Sapanta Merry Cemetery and Barsana Monastery. From Maramures we will cross the mountains to the renowned Bucovina region. Here, our itinerary includes a stop for the night in Ciocanesti, considered one of Bucovina`s most beautiful villages, where the Painted Eggs Festival is located The eggs model can be found also painted on the houses. Accommodation in a painted house.

Day 5: Ciocanesti – Gura Humorului – Suceava – Bicaz – Targu Secuiesc – Zabala

Moldavian breakfast! This day we will visit two monasteries, part of UNESCO Heritage and then we invite you to admire the breathtaking landscape from Bicaz Gorges. Accommodation in a very exquisite mansion in Zabala.

Day 6: Zabala – Brasov – Urlati

After breakfast, our guide will show you why Brasov is the Crown City and probably the warmest city in Romania. A walk through the small streets to feel the medieval air should recharge your batteries. Then, we present you Urlati, a chic wine cellar with a comfortable accommodation. Festive dinner with wine tasting is our gift for you! Enjoy!

Day 7: Urlati – Bucharest

Because it is the last day, we propose to spend it in Bucharest. After a short sight-seeing, you’ll have free time to explore the city. Accommodation in a 4* hotel in Bucharest.

Day 8: Farewell

After breakfast, your bus will guide you to the airport.
